About the Role: In this role, you’ll support both our Leader Development (LD) team and our Field Staff Payroll team. Leader Development manages the entire life cycle of our 1,000+ Field Staff from hiring, onboarding, pay, performance management, professional development and offboarding. Working on the LD team you are an essential resource for our Field Staff (Trip Leaders and Trip Prep Specialists) worldwide.
You will help to ensure that our Field Staff around the globe are paid accurately and on time. You will validate, review, and submit work time for our North American Field Staff and you’ll work with our global payroll team to collaborate on global processes and best practices for time and pay. You’ll need strong attention to detail, a high level of organization and you should thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
This role is a unique opportunity to be involved in all aspects of Field Staff employment.
Field Staff Payroll:
- Validate time submissions, run and review reports, and submit for payroll on regular payroll cycle
- Communicate with Field Staff regarding their time entry submissions and pay including management of fi inbox.
- Assist with status changes and communication
- Assist with annual Field Staff pay increases
Field Staff Admin Support:
- Assist with Field Staff onboarding and reactivations
- Provide general administrative support to the Leader Development and/or People & Culture teams
- Additional projects as assigned
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and rapid, accurate data entry ability
- Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and the technical aptitude to learn proprietary databases
- Ability to learn quickly and navigate multiple systems
- Impeccable time management and prioritization skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiastic about working for Backroads and have a passion for active travel and the outdoors
- Payroll processing skills and HRIS systems experience are preferred but not required
- Workday experience preferred but not required
- Salt Lake City, Utah
- 4-days in the office, 1 day work-from-home (Wednesday)
