Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Remote Junior Construction Estimator & Admin Assistant to assist with both administrative and technical aspects of construction projects. This role supports bidding and estimating activities by coordinating with vendors, architects, and engineers, preparing take-offs, budgets, and proposals, and maintaining accurate project and bid documentation. The position also handles essential administrative functions such as data entry and accounts payable and receivable, while tracking bid deadlines and outcomes to ensure timely follow-ups.
The ideal candidate has foundational knowledge of construction, strong organizational skills, the ability to interpret construction plans, and a strong willingness to learn and grow long term within the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative tasks, including data entry and accounts payable & receivable.
- Follow up with vendors to obtain pricing and support bidding activities.
- Coordinate with architects and engineers to obtain clarifications and responses.
- Support bidding activities, including take-offs, budget preparation, and proposal development.
- Maintain and organize project documentation, contracts, and bid-related records.
- Track bid deadlines, submissions, and outcomes to ensure timely follow-ups and reporting.
- Support additional administrative related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Some experience with take-off software or similar estimating tools is a plus.
- Experience with Stack CT takeoff software preferred.
- Out-of-the-box thinker, highly trainable, and eager to learn.
- Ability to work on EST (New York time zone).
- Knowledge of construction principles and terminology.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Comfortable handling a mix of administrative and technical tasks related to construction projects.
- Committed to long-term growth and development within the role.
- Some construction knowledge but is not overly specialized, allowing for easier training.
- This position supports the CEO directly with the potential to grow into a managerial position in the future.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and One Drive, preferred.
- Sound judgment and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable computer (Windows 10 or newer), two monitors, and stable high-speed internet.
- Compensation in USD.
- Full-time position with 40 hours weekly.
