Operations & Support Assistant
We are seeking an Operations & Support Assistant to assist with the planning and monitoring of approximately 1,000 vehicle movements per week, supporting the Veolia Waste Depots and the Wood & Fuel Team. This role requires coordination with internal departments, ensuring compliance across operations, customer service, and legislative changes.
Responsibilities- Assist with planning and monitoring of approximately 1,000 vehicle movements per week.
- Check and log details of site licences, haulier licences, and insurances.
- Control the administration of WIMS/ELEMOS (weighbridge system) for Veolia Waste Depots.
- Assist with coordinating the Wood & Fuel Team operation to ensure compliance, operations, and customer service are adhered to.
- Engage with other internal departments (Admin, Customer Service, Collections, Communications/Marketing) to ensure operational delivery.
- Coordinate and direct weekly, monthly, and yearly quotas.
- Support projects to review future business needs and respond to legislative changes.
- Previous experience in transport planning, scheduling, or logistics coordination preferred.
- Exceptional numerical ability with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage workload autonomously in a remote working environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Proficient in Google Workspace applications (Sheets, Docs, Drive).
