You don’t need loads of experience to join us as an apprentice. If you’re interested in data, comfortable with numbers and keen to learn, we’ll give you the support, training and encouragement you need to succeed. You’ll earn a good salary while you gain a recognised qualification and real, hands‑on experience.
What you’ll do- Maintain accurate, up-to-date property and asset data across systems
- Check data for errors or gaps and support corrections where needed
- Use Excel and other systems to clean, organise and prepare data
- Create simple reports, tables, charts and graphs to highlight key information and trends
- Combine data from multiple sources and help present clear, accessible insights to managers and colleagues.
You’ll start with simpler tasks and take on more responsibility as your confidence and skills grow.
About you- Enjoy working with numbers and information, spot when things don’t look right, and like solving problems logically by asking questions
- Are comfortable using computers and keen to build skills in Excel and other data tools
- Can communicate clearly with others, both in writing and when talking things through
- Are organised, reliable, able to manage time to meet deadlines, and are positive, open to feedback and excited about learning new skills and building a career
- Live in a Home Group property or have been a customer of one of our supported services within the last 5 years.
To be eligible, you must be a current or former Home Group customer (for example, someone who lives or has lived in a Home Group property or uses our services).
Learning and Support- Have a named line manager who will support you day to day
- Have colleagues in the Asset Data team who’ll show you the ropes and help you learn the job
- Be supported by our Apprenticeship provider who will deliver your qualification and provide a dedicated skills coach or tutor
- Get paid time during your working week for off‑the‑job learning and study
- Learn by doing, working alongside experienced data and insights professionals on real work from the start.
You’ll work Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9:00 and 5:30
We offer flexibility, but sometimes you’ll need to adapt to meet customer or business needs.
We typically work on a hybrid basis with 2 days per week in our Newcastle upon Tyne office, with the rest working from home. Our anchor day is Thursday with the second day being flexible.
