Office Administrator/ Coordinator
Based in County Hall Taunton with home-working on agreement.
18.5 hours per week – hybrid working with one day a week in the office at County Hall in Taunton.
Hours can be worked flexibly across the week, with Wednesdays essential to enable attendance at team meetings and training.
As a Senior Business Support Administrator, you will play a valuable part in assisting Operational colleagues who support children, young people and their families.
Working within a busy, collaborative and supportive administrative team, you would be undertaking a range of activities.
25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) – pro rata for part time.
This is a permanent post.
About The JobWe’re working to improve the lives of children, young people and their families here in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. This post is part of a wider Business Operations team supporting our Education Services.
What will I be doing?Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Data entry using a variety of platforms e.g., case management system.
- Processing work received in and out from schools, parents, agencies, and Health and Social Care.
- Direct liaison with schools and other local authorities.
We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:
- Extensive use of Microsoft Office 365 applications to process and monitor work, using Outlook, SharePoint and web platforms.
- Knowledge or experience of Data Protection and confidentiality.
- Administrative experience, working in an office environment.
- Working as part of a team.

The salary for the role is Grade 14, ranging from £12,907 to £12,994 per annum for 18.5 hours.
