Job Description & How to Apply Below

Taylor Made Dreams enables children with life limiting illnesses to achieve their dreams. We will source and financially support therapeutic services alongside their difficult journey and help to leave lasting, precious memories for families to cherish when time together is all far too short.

Our vision is that children with life limiting illnesses will have the opportunity to fulfil their dreams and that we may also provide their families with support from trained therapeutic professionals.

Primarily our aim is to assist in the creation of a unique ‘Wish List’, which is ‘Taylor-Made’ to meet the specific needs and desires of the individual child.

Our objective is to enable children and their families to experience unique quality time and experiences together, which otherwise may not have been possible without financial and emotional support.

About this opportunity

We are seeking an administration volunteer to help provide general office support for day-to-day administrative tasks such as document management, arranging post and deliveries, and handling office inventory.

General Office Support
  • Organising and storing documents—like creating folders for forms and reports or scanning paperwork into the computer system.
  • Sorting incoming mail and sending out post—could be posting thank-you cards to donors or handling deliveries of donated items.
  • Keeping track of office supplies—like organising our collection pots and event boxes
Data Entry & Database Management
  • Typing in contact details for new volunteers or donors—names, phone numbers, email addresses—into the database.
  • Updating addresses or donation amounts if someone’s info changes.
  • Ensuring sensitive data (like personal info) is kept private and follows data protection rules—using secure systems and not sharing it without permission.
Event Planning & Coordination
  • Creating flyers or packing info bags to hand out at charity events.
  • Setting up meetings with volunteers—finding a time that works, sending out invites, and making sure everyone has the right details.
  • Communicating with volunteers or organisations involved—sending emails, making calls or passing on key info so everyone’s on the same page.

To be an effective administration volunteer, you’ll need strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with IT tools such as email and office software. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with the ability to work well in a team and independently. Reliability, discretion, and a compassionate attitude are key, as is a commitment to the charity’s mission of supporting children and families.

Expenses will be paid as per our volunteer policy.

Our office is open 9‑5pm Monday to Friday, located in Pine Grove, Crowborough. You will need to be able to travel to the office, but there may be the opportunity for remote work depending on the task.
