Position: Office Administrator (Maternity cover 6 months)

14 hours per week | Fixed term | £31,022 – £33,143 FTE (pro rata). Hybrid working.

We’re looking for an organised and proactive Office Administrator to join Local Government East on a part-time maternity cover basis
.

This is a great opportunity if you enjoy variety in your role and want to be part of a supportive team making a difference across local government. You’ll help keep everything running smoothly, supporting colleagues, partners and our Talent Bank consultancy service
.

What you’ll be doing

No two days are quite the same, but you’ll be:

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support across the organisation
  • Helping to organise Talent Bank assignments and events
  • Raising purchase orders and supporting invoicing processes
  • Keeping our systems and databases (including CRM) up to date
  • Supporting finance admin and reporting
  • Preparing documents, contracts and event information
  • Responding to enquiries and acting as a first point of contact
  • Updating website content (don’t worry—training provided!)
  • Supporting surveys, research and data collation
  • Keeping shared inboxes running smoothly
About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Comfortable working in an administrative or office environment
  • Well organised, with great attention to detail
  • A confident communicator who enjoys working with people
  • Able to juggle priorities and meet deadlines
  • A team player with a flexible, can-do attitude
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)

If you’ve worked with finance processes, CRM systems or recruitment administration, that’s a bonus, but not essential. For further information about the job profile and job description .
