Overview

As a Business Services Officer you will provide administrative support to Local Family Court Advisers and Service Managers, contributing to the effective and efficient management and progression of cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor case progression.
  • Receive referrals from the Court or Cafcass Intake Team.
  • Create, update, and close cases within our case management system.
  • Send letters and information packs to children and families.
  • Identify missing information and follow up as required.
  • Receive and deal with telephone enquiries.
  • Meet and greet visitors, including children and families.
  • Provide general administrative support.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A relevant qualification in business administration (e.g., NVQ2) or willingness to work towards a qualification and/or significant experience in a similar role.
  • Confident and capable of using MS Office applications at a basic to intermediate level.
  • Clear, confident communicator via email, phone, and in person.
  • Someone who thrives working in a team.
  • Able to prioritise work in a fast‑moving environment with strict deadlines.
Employment Details

Full‑time Business Services Officer on a Fixed Term Basis (until 31/05/2027) based in the Blackburn area. The role offers flexible working, including some remote working, but requires regular presence in the Blackburn office.
