This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to support multiple areas within NWSSP Primary Care Services, including Transactional Services and Professional and Clinical Services.
We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn new skills and deliver high-quality administrative support across a variety of departments. The role offers the opportunity to gain knowledge across Primary Care within a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of work.
This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to attend multiple sites including Matrix House, Companies House, and Cwmbran House, alongside home working.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will provide flexible administrative support across a range of Primary Care service areas within NWSSP. This is a varied and dynamic role, supporting multiple operational work streams based on service need and organisational priorities.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Medical Records Transfer
- Summarising Services
- Quality and Assurance functions
- Primary Care Clinical Waste Services
- Gluten Free Subsidy Card Scheme
The role requires a highly organised and adaptable individual who can manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records, and deliver high-quality administrative support. The post holder will work collaboratively across teams, respond to queries from a range of stakeholders, and support the effective delivery of national and local primary care services.

Person Specification Qualifications- NVQ Level 3 in Administration or equivalent relevant experience.
- Understanding of administrative processes and customer service requirements. Knowledge of confidentiality and GDPR requirements.
- Understanding of NHS Primary Care operations.
- Knowledge of medical records handling, summarising, subsidy schemes, or clinical waste.
- ECDL or equivalent digital competence.
- Experience working in an administrative environment.
- Handling queries from the public or professionals.
- Maintaining accurate records and inputting data.
- Experience working flexibly across teams
- Medical Records/Summarising Quality audit.
Patient schemes./Waste service.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work flexibly across changing priorities
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Welsh Language Skills are desirable levels 1 to 5 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Welsh.
