Job overview

Recruit an Administration Coordinator for the Lung Cancer Screening administration team. The role requires key working relationships with administrative and clinical teams and serves as the first point of contact for participants, GPs and external hospital staff.

Main duties
  • Cover reception areas at Finchley Memorial Hospital and Mortimer Market Centre, and carry out phone screens on eligible members of the public.
  • Adapt to a rotational schedule with some remote working.
  • Escalate and troubleshoot issues to the Administration Supervisor and contribute to proactive solutions for routine problems.
  • Manage a busy and varied workload, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
Person specification Knowledge and qualifications
  • GCSE level or equivalent, with Grade C or above in English and Maths.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures gained through training or previous experience.
  • Awareness of confidentiality and the Data Protection Act.
  • NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration, Customer Service, Healthcare Support Services or equivalent.
Experience
  • Working in a non‑routine environment with demonstrable problem‑solving and issue resolution.
  • Customer‑facing experience resolving queries and using initiative to provide first‑class service.
