About the role:Reporting to the force’s dedicated Inspection and Audit Lead, you will:
- Provide administrative and coordination support for the preparation, facilitation and response to HMICRS inspections.
- Coordinate and track recommendations from HMICFRS and external audits, ensuring timely updates and progress reporting.
- Support effective planning, accurate record-keeping, timely communication and smooth operational processes within the inspection team.
- This is a fantastic opportunity to gain insight into different areas of the Force, working closely with colleagues across department and contributing to our continuous improvement journey.
- Assist with the scheduling and coordination of internal and external inspections and audits.
- Facilitate consistent communication with partners and internal stakeholders through both written and verbal channels.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records relating to inspections and audits, conducting necessary research to deliver detailed report analysis, performance measures, and data insights.
- Utilise a variety of organisational IT systems efficiently to complete assigned tasks.
- Organise meeting and prepare and circulate meeting agendas, notes and follow-up actions.
- Assist with the administration and management of His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services (HMICFRS) and South West Auditing Partner (SWAP) data and document requests.
- Promote Inspection and Audit priorities across the organisation by disseminating best practices and fostering strong working relationships both internally and externally.
- Support the organisation in the monitoring and timely implementation of recommendations, to include the development and maintenance of templates, trackers and reports.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders through written and verbal engagement, including participation in meetings as necessary.
- Deliver additional support services as required to support the organisation with inspection and audit activity.
- Experience of displaying excellent attention to detail.
- Exceptional organisational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills with experience of dealing with a wide variety of customers.
- The ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
