Our client, one of Canada’s leading law firms, is seeking an Events and Talent Attraction Coordinator for their downtown Montreal office.
The ideal candidate for this position is a bilingual, organized professional with a creative edge. The Coordinator, Events and Talent Attraction will be at the heart of coordinating flagship events to recruit student candidates, managing the heavy logistics and ensuring success. Responsibilities
-Event Logistics Management:
Assist in the organization of recruitment activities and events taking place at the firm or within law faculties (room reservations, catering orders, required equipment logistics, and follow-ups with participants).
-Campus Presence:
Register the firm for career days and coordinate the end-to-end logistics surrounding participation in these events.
-Course aux stages Coordination:
Post job openings, process applications, and plan the logistics for activities (interview scheduling, candidate welcoming, documentation for interviewers, and follow-ups).
-Student Experience and Onboarding:
Assist in the logistical planning of the welcoming, training, and integration of summer students and articling students, including the coordination of their social activities calendar.
-Employer Branding and Digital Outreach:
In collaboration with the Marketing/Communications team, drive and maintain an active presence on the firm's Montreal office social media
-Marketing Support and Partnerships:
Assist the marketing team with the preparation of advertisements for sponsorship activities with law faculties or student associations, and ensure the processing of associated invoices.
-Budgetary and Administrative Tracking:
Update the budget allocated to recruitment events, process enrollment fees, and coordinate the sending of official documents for student admission to the Bar.
-Arrival and Departure Logistics:
Coordinate the logistical details surrounding the arrival and departure of summer students and articling students
Qualifications
-Excellent communication skills (both spoken and written) in both french and english
-College diploma (DEC) or university degree in a relevant field;
-Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience;
-Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
-Excellent customer service skills;
-Reliability, creativity, professionalism, punctuality, strong team spirit, interpersonal skills, and discretion;
-Ability to manage emergencies and prioritize tasks;
-Ability to handle multiple files simultaneously;
-Flexibility and availability to work occasional overtime during peak periods, if necessary;
-Experience in a large law firm (an asset).
Our Client operates across Canada, and globally/internationally in the United States and other countries. This company takes all reasonable means to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires this where it is necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to fulfil these job duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (oral and written).
In particular, this position will require the employee to:
-communicate with English-speaking clients/partners/employees located outside Quebec on a regular basis
-work on client projects, products or deliverables that are required to be delivered to clients in English
