Kent and Medway Medical School are seeking a Student Procedures and Quality Coordinator on a part time, fixed term contract until July 2028.
In this role, you will provide professional and wide-ranging administrative support to the Student Procedures and Quality Officer in the management of student procedures, including professionalism issues, academic misconduct, appeals, and complaints. The post holder will support the maintenance of case files and records, coordinate student meetings, and provide administrative support for quality assurance activities. Managing student procedures is a critical component of Kent and Medway Medical School's meeting of General Medical Council (GMC) standards whilst aligning with the Universities' aims to build and maintain a supportive, safe, and enjoyable environment for its students.
Responsibilities- Providing administrative support for student procedure cases, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records are maintained
- Providing clear and accurate advice and guidance to academics, professional service colleagues, and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with both School and university regulations
- Supporting the effective coordination and administration of student, staff, and governance meetings, including scheduling, preparing documentation, taking minutes and notes, and distributing records to relevant stakeholders
- Acting as a point of contact for enquiries relating to student procedures, responding promptly and professionally, providing information and signposting to students and staff as appropriate, and escalating queries to the Student Procedures and Quality Officer when required
- Educated to A Level or equivalent qualification, including GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or equivalent
- Experience of providing administrative support in an educational or professional services environment
- Experience of organising and coordinating meetings, including taking minutes or notes
- Ability to work with discretion and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
- Hybrid working options allowing a flexible blend of office and home working (to be agreed in line with business needs)
- 43 days' leave per year (personal leave, bank holidays and additional days allocated for the Christmas period, pro rata for part-time staff)
