This role involves meeting and greeting patients and visitors, reception work, data entry, computer based work, ordering stock, answering the telephone and other general office duties as required by management on a very busy Neonatal Intensive Care. The successful candidate must be able to communicate well with families who are under extreme stress due to the early arrival of their baby.
Furthermore the role is front of house and requires someone who is friendly, approachable and goes the extra mile to support families and maintain an outstanding patient experience.

This is not an exhaustive list of duties as these may vary from time to time. The postholder is expected to undertake these and any other duties as and when required in keeping with the role.
The postholder will need to be flexible as may need to assist and cover other departments if acuity requires this.
Access and training will be provided and support given as required
Qualifications- NVQ level 2 in business admin or above
- Working experience/knowledge of computers & data input
- Previous clerical experience in an administrative setting
- Experience of working face to face and/or telephone contact with the general public
- Experience in use of computer programs such as EPR, Microsoft office , Excel, IPROC
- Correct use of spelling and grammar within written work
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances
- Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
- Previous knowledge of NHS Admin/medical records experience
