Overview
We are looking for a Traffic Regulation Administration Officer to support the delivery of highway restrictions across Buckinghamshire.
About the RoleThe role is office‑based with a requirement to undertake site visits. An any‑desk arrangement allows the employee to work from home or the office, with the expectation of working from the office a couple of times a week.
Key Accountabilities- Provide support and assistance and ensure that enquiries relating to proposed and pending restrictions are responded to.
- Ensure own knowledge and skills are kept up to date, including awareness of relevant legislation and Council policy, so that correspondence and enquiries are considered and responded to accurately and consistently.
- Assist the Traffic Regulation Manager and other team members in consultations and the legal process in amending or introducing new restrictions, including monitoring and implementation of lines and sign refresh to ensure Orders are as accurate as possible.
- Provide support to the Traffic Regulation Manager and others within the service to ensure compliance with business plans, processes, and procedures.
- Knowledge and a good understanding of Traffic and Highway Law/Traffic Regulations.
- Ability to work flexibly to respond to service demand, including carrying out site visits where required.
- Customer‑focused and able to handle sensitive and difficult information resiliently.
- Ability to prioritise a varied and challenging workload.
- Excellent communication skills and accurate attention to detail.
- Knowledge of digital parking systems is advantageous.
- Promotes self‑development and manages priorities effectively, often with conflicting demands.
- 40/60 working agreement – the opportunity to work from home three days a week.
- Office‑based role with site visits.
