Do you have background in administration along with a desire to have an impact on patient care within Cancer Services? We are recruiting an Administrator to work in the role of MDT Coordinator.
This post is 30 hours per week. The post holder must be able to work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
This role is currently a hybrid role with a mixture of on‑site working and home‑based working. The role covers the county, so travel to Musgrove Park Hospital and Yeovil District Hospital is expected to run the MDT meetings (at least weekly).
We are looking for someone 30 hours per week who can confidently communicate with a broad range of colleagues while working remotely, is a confident typist with knowledge of medical terminology and can confidently co‑ordinate cancer MDT meetings both in person and on virtual platforms (i.e. MS Teams), can manage the facilitation of MDT equipment, and has knowledge and experience as outlined on the Job Description.
Mainduties of the job
As an MDT Coordinator, you will coordinate and run cancer MDT meetings, tracking patients on a suspected cancer pathway, and supporting the data collection of national CWT, COSD and audit requirements.
You will also assist with the collection and inputting of patient activity data, and provide cover across the MDT Coordinator team. This is a fast paced and demanding role, set within a very friendly and supportive team environment.

Person Specification Qualifications- Educated to degree level or equivalent demonstrable experience
Full UK driving licence with ability and willingness to travel as required - Computer Literacy (ECDL / RSA)
- Experience of working to tight deadlines and prioritising tasks
Experience of working in a busy team/ multidisciplinary environment (including virtually)
Experience of organising and co‑ordinating meetings, including minute taking - Knowledge of the NHS with an understanding of NHS processes and patient pathways
Experience of developing processes for the collection and collation of data for audit purposes
