- Gather and verify assessment related data and enter it into the computer system for assigned property types for the purpose of property valuation.
- Perform inspections pertaining to assessment roll production and maintenance.
- Perform general office work in connection with realty and business assessment roll production.
- Provide strong customer service.
- High school diploma supplemented by post‑secondary courses in business administration, commerce, building trades or another related field.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Proficiency at a basic level using Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to make accurate mathematical calculations.
- Accurate data entry skills with the ability to record detailed and accurate information.
- Good judgment skills demonstrating the ability to assess and capture relevant information.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and set and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing complex or technical information to a diverse client group.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, other employees and the general public.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage conflict and apply appropriate conflict‑management skills.
- Applicants who have been educated outside of Canada must have education which is comparable to the minimum qualification in Canada. For foreign credentials an official academic assessment report issued by a recognized Canadian assessment service is required.
