Job profile for Business Support Officer (CDC) – a hybrid role working across several Doncaster town centre locations with the opportunity to work at home.
Job DetailsSalary Grade 6: £26,403 – £27,255 (pay award pending)
Contract type: temporary fixed term – 12 months
Hours:
full time, 37 hours per week
Location:
Civic Office, Waterdale, Doncaster (hybrid with remote options)

Responsibilities- Providing high‑quality business and administrative support across the Information Governance Team
- Logging, allocating and tracking Freedom of Information Requests and Subject Access Requests
- Logging, allocating and tracking requests for information received from partner organisations
- Processing requests for CCTV and associated payments
- Preparing agendas, coordinating meetings, and taking accurate minutes for meetings, including virtual meetings
- Responding to enquiries from partners, stakeholders, and the public, ensuring a professional and timely service
- Maintaining accurate records and datasets using Microsoft Office solutions, in line with data protection requirements
- Supporting data collection, performance reporting, and statutory returns
- Undertaking routine financial administration, including processing invoices, orders and service‑related transactions using Council financial systems
- Providing administration support to projects, including the records management project
- Handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
The post holder should have experience of working in a busy office or business support environment, strong organisational skills, flexibility, and the ability to work independently to strict and competing deadlines. This role requires excellent ICT skills, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a clear understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements.
