Job Title: Shared Lives Business Support Officer
Location of post: Neath Civic Centre, Neath, SA11 3QZ

About the role:
We are currently seeking an organised, approachable and motivated individual to join our team as a Shared Lives Business Support Officer within West Glamorgan Shared Lives Service. The service supports adults to live fulfilling lives within their local communities through Shared Lives arrangements and works closely with carers, social workers, health professionals and partner organisations. As part of our small and supportive team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the service runs efficiently and that accurate information is available to support safe, person-centred practice.
As a Shared Lives Business Support Officer
, you will provide flexible, high-quality administrative and business support to the Shared Lives team. You will contribute to the smooth running of the service through effective record management, communication, meeting support and administration, helping us to deliver high standards of care and support to the people who use our service.
Your daily routine will include:
- Responding to telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries from carers, professionals and members of the public.
- Maintaining accurate electronic and paper-based records and management information systems.
- Supporting the team with correspondence, reports, meeting arrangements and minute taking.
- Working with coordinators to ensure information held on service databases is accurate and up to date.
- Producing information, spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Office applications.
- Supporting routine financial and administrative processes within the service.
About you:
Do you have:
- Experience working in an administrative or business support role?
- Knowledge of and confidence using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel?
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload?
- Strong communication skills and the ability to deal professionally with a wide range of people?
- The ability to maintain accurate records and work to deadlines?
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst also managing your own workload?
- A positive, flexible and customer-focused approach?
- You must possess 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent qualifications) and either hold an NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration (or equivalent qualification) or be willing to work towards this qualification.
We would welcome applications from individuals with experience in roles such as Business Support Officer, Administrative Assistant, Clerical Assistant, Team Administrator, Office Administrator, Service Support Officer, Receptionist or Customer Service Administrator.
