Business Support Clerk - Admin & Clerical

Pay Rate: £13.47 per hou

Hours:

37 hours per week

Hatched Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of Belfast City Council for a Business Support Clerk to join the Information and Governance Unit within the Legal and Civic Services Department.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator to provide high-quality clerical and business support within a busy public sector environment.

The successful candidate will support a range of administrative duties including maintaining records, processing information, preparing documents, supporting meetings and providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide general administrative and clerical support across the department.
Maintain accurate electronic and manual filing systems.
Process data, update records and use internal systems effectively.
Prepare letters, reports, correspondence and other documents.
Assist with meeting arrangements, including taking notes and minutes when required.
Handle telephone and email enquiries professionally.
Support routine business activities including data input, reporting and general administration.
Use Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Essential

Skills and Experience:

Previous experience in an administrative, clerical or business support role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling information.
Good IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to organise workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Information:

The role will initially be office-based during training. Once training is completed, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid pattern, with 3 days onsite and 2 days working from home
