The School Operations Team is one of three teams within the School Management and Research Office (SMRO). This team’s remit covers HR, Buildings and Facilities, Health and Safety and School and Department budgetary management. The team is divided into two sub-teams, one with primary responsibility for HR and related finances and the other with primary responsibility for facilities, related finances and health and safety.

Each team is led by a Senior Administrator with support from Administrators.

The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for the following areas within the School Operations Team:
Facilities, including oversight and maintenance of the three School buildings, sustainable print service, equipment and furniture and all associated finance;
Health and Safety, including risk assessments, safety monitoring, checks and training;
Finance, including School and Department operational finance monitoring, month-end reconciliation, procurement and financial year end coordination; other responsibilities include working collaboratively with the other SMRO teams, providing cover for the wider SMRO team, dealing with customer enquiries and supporting Senior Management within the School.

Previous experience of working with health and safety and buildings and facilities issues and systems in a large organisation is essential. Candidates must also have proven experience of budget monitoring and line management of staff and be able to manage and prioritise a diverse workload in order to meet deadlines.
