Child Protection Conference Administrator within the Safeguarding and Reviewing Service in Cardiff, earning £17.45 per hour. This ongoing full-time locum opportunity offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with office attendance required only once every two weeks on a rota basis. What you will do
  • Conference Coordination: Schedule, organise, and coordinate Child Protection Conferences and related safeguarding meetings.
  • Minute Taking: Accurately record and summarise complex discussions, decisions, and actions from meetings using a laptop.
  • Documentation: Prepare and distribute high-quality minutes and reports within agreed timescales.
  • Information Management: Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Communication: Liaise effectively with social workers, managers, partner agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Administrative Support: Ensure all meeting documentation is prepared, circulated, and stored appropriately.
  • IT Systems: Utilise Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other systems to manage workloads and maintain records efficiently.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure reports and records meet required standards, policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Flexible Attendance: Attend office locations and conference venues across Cardiff when required.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Administrative

    Experience:

    Previous experience in an administrative, business support, safeguarding, or social care environment.
  • Minute Taking

    Skills:

    Experience producing accurate and detailed minutes from complex meetings is highly desirable.
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Organisational

    Skills:

    Strong ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
  • IT
