Position:Medical Aid Administrator
Working Hours:US Hours (9am-5pm EST)
Full-Time, Remote Work.
Salary:South African Rand (ZAR)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Aid Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Medicaid application process for residents, ensuring applications are completed accurately, submitted on time, and monitored through approval and ongoing recertification.
The ideal candidate is confident discussing financial matters with clients and families, has excellent administrative skills, and is comfortable working across multiple systems in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Medicaid application process from admission through approval and ongoing recertification.
- Collect, review, and organize financial documentation required for Medicaid applications.
- Prepare, submit, and track Medicaid applications and all supporting documentation.
- Monitor the status of applications and liaise with Medicaid caseworkers to resolve outstanding issues.
- Process annual renewals, eligibility redeterminations, and changes in resident eligibility.
- Coordinate closely with the Admissions, Business Office, Social Services, and Billing teams to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation complies with company and regulatory requirements.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
- Previous experience in healthcare administration, medical funding, medical aid, insurance administration, or a similar administrative role.
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, or health insurance processes is highly advantageous.
- Confidence and professionalism when discussing financial matters with residents and their families.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Comfortable learning and navigating multiple computer systems and databases.
