Job overviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to become part of the Hepatology service at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
This position would involve working within our established administration team as a Medical Secretary. The admin team work extremely hard behind the scenes to ensure that patients have a positive experience when they have contact with the service and we are seeking an individual who will be able to further enhance this team.
We are looking for a committed individual who can demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and work effectively as part of a team.
As a secretary and a member of the admin team, you will need to demonstrate strong verbal communication skills, be able to use your own initiative and be computer literate. You will have a confident telephone manner and will possess the ability to work accurately, work independently and as part of a team and have good attention to detail.
You will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the multidisciplinary team.
Duties can include, but are not limited to, the processing of information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as Primary Care and Community service providers in accordance with current policies.
Main duties of the jobTo provide a comprehensive Medical Secretary and PA service to Consultants, including coordinating meetings, optimising Clinic time, ensuring compliance with CCG requirements, producing clinic letters, other documents and dealing with patient and GP queries and concerns in a sympathetic and constructive manner.
