The role:

You will provide an effective and efficient secretarial and administrative service to the multidisciplinary team within Adult Community Mental Health Services across Glasgow City. The team comprises managerial, psychology, nursing and occupational therapy staff.

You will work independently for much of the time, managing calls, emails and team workload, while providing support to the wider administrative team as required.

All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
  • This is a permanent post.
  • The post is based at Peterhill Park, 28 Adamswell Street, within Adult Community Mental Health Services across Glasgow City.
  • The working pattern is Monday 9:00am–4:00pm, Tuesday 9:00am–4:30pm, and Wednesday to Friday 9:00am–5:00pm.
Key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include providing reception duties, data input, record management and general typing. You will deal with referrals and enquiries received through the Single Point of Access and provide administrative support to the multidisciplinary team.

You will also support the generic functions and duties of the wider administrative team across the sector and beyond, as required, ensuring an effective, responsive and efficient administrative service is maintained.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
  • Experience of working in a secretarial or administrative environment.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage calls, emails and competing workloads independently.
  • Experience of data input and maintaining accurate records.
  • Good typing and general administrative skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary colleagues and service users.
  • Ability to work flexibly and provide support across the wider administrative team as required.
