We’re looking for an Early Help Administrator to join our dedicated Early Help Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting children, young people, and families by helping to coordinate services, manage referrals, and ensure the smooth running of Early Help Assessment (EHA) and Team Around the Family (TAF) processes.

Every day, your work will contribute to better outcomes for families and help professionals deliver timely and effective support where it matters most.

This is a part-time role (22.5 hours per week) worked across 4 days per week.

This role covers the whole of our Lancashire Children and Families service and offers mainly remote working with some travel to offices and hubs throughout Lancashire required.

What you'll be doing
  • Be the first point of contact for enquiries via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams
  • Support the administration of Early Help Assessments (EHA), Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings, and SEND processes
  • Process referrals and ensure information is recorded accurately on relevant systems, including EMIS
  • Manage busy inboxes, triage requests, and elevate urgent concerns appropriately
  • Coordinate and schedule TAF meetings across a range of platforms
  • Prepare and distribute documentation, invitations, and correspondence
  • Maintain electronic diaries and support effective communication between professionals and families
  • Produce reports, maintain spreadsheets, and support performance reporting and audits
  • Ensure high standards of confidentiality, record keeping, and data quality at all times.
What we're looking for
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent administrative experience
  • Previous experience in a busy administrative, secretarial, or customer service environment
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience managing multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
  • Customer-focused and approachable
  • Calm under pressure
  • A proactive problem-solver
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Passionate about making a positive difference to children, young people, and families.

Applicants must be available to interview on Wednesday 23rd September and/or Thursday 24th September.
