A support role providing essential administrative and organisational support to the Dispute Resolution team.
DETAILSWe're looking for a Legal Assistant to support our Dispute Resolution team with a wide range of administrative and legal support tasks. This is a varied role, suited to someone who is organised, detail-focused, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
You'll play an important part in helping civil litigation matters progress smoothly, supporting fee earners with documentation, correspondence, and day-to-day administration.
About the RoleYou'll provide essential support to our Dispute Resolution team, helping to ensure matters are managed efficiently and accurately.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing administrative and secretarial support to fee earners.
- Preparing and formatting documents, correspondence, and legal paperwork
- Managing files, maintaining accurate records, and updating case management systems
- Liaising with clients, Courts, Counsel and third parties in a professional and timely manner
- Assisting with diary management and monitoring key deadlines
- Carrying out general office and administrative tasks to support the wider team
We're looking for someone who is well organised, proactive, and confident working in a fast-paced environment. You'll ideally have:
- A Law degree, or previous experience in a legal assistant, administrative, or office support role
- An interest in civil litigation and working within a legal environment
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- A professional and approachable manner when dealing with clients and colleagues
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
- Full-time hours:
Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm - Occasional travel between offices may be required
- Own car essential
- Typically, predominantly based in one or two of our office locations depending on geographical convenience, needs of clients and the team, occasional days from home on a rota basis
