Admissions Administrator
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Rate: £15.33 per hour
Contract: Fixed-term until February 2027
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Admissions Administrator to join a busy team in Newcastle. This role will involve providing comprehensive administrative support within a complex organisation, ensuring applications, data and enquiries are managed efficiently and accurately. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality administrative support within the admissions function.
- Process applications and maintain accurate records in line with organisational procedures.
- Respond to telephone and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection requirements.
- Prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines and service standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to support admissions processes.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

- Experience working in an administrative role within a complex organisation.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of GDPR and the Data Protection Act.
- A confident and professional telephone manner.

- Experience and knowledge of UK Higher Education admissions, including Undergraduate and/or Postgraduate admissions.
- Knowledge of the UCAS process, including business rules, routes and deadlines, Confirmation and Clearing.
- Understanding of UK and/or international qualifications and equivalencies.
- Knowledge of fee assessment processes within UK Higher Education.
- Understanding of UKVI Student Route compliance requirements.
- Competitive hourly rate of £15.33.
- Fixed-term contract until February 2027.
- Standard office hours, Monday to Friday.
