We are seeking a Commercial Assistant to join our clients Support Team, providing essential support to our sales and servicing processes. This role is pivotal in ensuring our frontline Financial Advisers have the necessary support to manage new business and deliver exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will have robust experience in UK support and financial services administration.
Day-to-day of the role:- Support UK Financial Advisers by obtaining valuations, performance data, printing, and collating client reports/application packs.
- Liaise with providers and clients as necessary.
- Manage and action required paperwork throughout the client journey, including processing dealings, withdrawals, applications, bereavements, and power of attorneys.
- Maintain accurate client data on XPLAN, including data entry and managing audits and ad hoc data management projects.
- Handle all incoming and outgoing post and courier arrangements.
- Resolve client and adviser queries via post, email, and telephone.
- Manage tasks, inboxes, and workloads efficiently.
- Provide cover and support for the Head of UK Support during periods of annual leave.
- Offer general office support, including managing phones, reception duties, meeting room bookings, supplies, and health and safety.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of strong IFA administration experience, preferably within a financial adviser firm.
- Competent level of IT literacy with the ability to quickly adapt to different systems, platforms, and software.
- Knowledge of ISAs, GIAs, pensions, offshore bonds, and trusts.
- Familiarity with UK regulation, including GDPR and consumer duty.
- Ability to work autonomously and confidently, supporting team queries and maintaining service standards.
- Experience using XPLAN and investment platforms such as Transact, 7IM, and Fidelity is advantageous.
- Industry qualifications such as IOC/IMC are preferred.
- Client-focused with a strong commitment to service excellence.
- Highly organised, reliable, and able to handle multiple tasks.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
