We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the admin team within the Audiology department.
The role will involve being part of the team that provides a comprehensive administration services to support all functions of the Audiology Department in delivering an effective service and to support patients and patient carers.
The post holder will be required to undertake a range of tasks including effective referral management, accurate data input on the relevant clinical system/s, agreeing and booking of appointments, dealing with patient and service related queries, and the monitoring of waiting lists

Person specification Experience- Experience of working face to face and/or telephone contact with the general public
- Experience of prioritising work and meeting deadlines
- Experience of working within an office based NHS setting
- Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
- Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office packages, including use of Excel and Power-point, internet, e-mail etc…
- Knowledge of Patient Administration System (or equivalent system)
- Educated to GCSE standard include English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above*
- Customer care/Communications Skills Course
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Ability to work on own initiative including working to tight deadlines and prioritising work effectively
- Professional telephone manner
- Ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
