Tahquamenon Area Schools is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented individual to support district
federal and state reporting, Power School student information management, and data entry
. This position plays an important role in ensuring district and student information is accurate, complete, and submitted in accordance with required timelines.
- Maintain accurate student information within
Power School
. - Complete and assist with required
state and federal data reporting
. - Prepare, review, verify, and submit student data for required Michigan reporting systems and collections.
- Monitor data for accuracy and correct discrepancies prior to submission deadlines.
- Enter and maintain student enrollment, demographic, attendance, scheduling, program, and other required information.
- Assist with student enrollment, withdrawals, transfers, and record updates.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper student records.
- Generate reports from Power School as requested by administrators and other authorized staff.
- Work with administrators, counselors, teachers, special education staff, and other district personnel to ensure accurate reporting.
- Track reporting deadlines and ensure required information is submitted in a timely manner.
- Assist with data verification related to student programs, enrollment, attendance, and other state and federal requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of student and employee information in accordance with
FERPA, district policy, and applicable state and federal laws
. - Assist with other clerical, administrative, and data-management responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
- Strong computer, database, and data-entry skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple reporting requirements and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and make necessary corrections.
- Ability to maintain confidential student and district information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with district staff.
- Experience with
Power School or another student information system preferred
. - Experience with
Michigan school reporting requirements and systems preferred
. - Previous experience in a school district, educational organization, data-management, compliance, or reporting position preferred.
The successful candidate will be dependable, organized, analytical, and comfortable working with large amounts of detailed information. The individual must be willing and able to learn changing state and federal reporting requirements and become highly proficient in Power School and other district reporting systems.
This is a
20-hour-per-week remote position compensated at an hourly rate. The hourly wage will be determined based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.
