Cumbria Cricket Limited is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly organised and digitally confident Programme & Business Support Coordinator to provide central operational, programme and business support across the organisation.

This is a new full-time role, created following a review of our staffing structure and the forthcoming retirement of our existing Administrator. It is an opportunity to join Cumbria Cricket at a time when we are continuing to develop and grow cricket across the county.

Working closely with the Managing Director, Head of Performance, programme leads and Cricket Development Officers, the successful candidate will become a key point of central support across the organisation.

About the Role:

The role will cover six principal areas:

  • Programme administration and systems - programme set-up, registrations, booking systems, monitoring and evaluation and routine systems administration.
  • Schools programme and business development support - enquiries, bookings, scheduling, follow-up, programme records and helping ensure opportunities for paid delivery are effectively progressed.
  • Performance and pathway support - administrative and coordination support for county age-group fixtures, facilities, winter programmes and associated communications.
  • Cricket Development Officer operational support - centralising routine administration, registrations, communications, data entry, programme set-up and reporting wherever this can release CDO time for delivery and relationship development.
  • Coach development and events - course and event administration, venue coordination, attendee information, booking systems and other CCL events.
  • Business support, data and reporting - maintaining accurate programme and contact information, supporting management reporting and helping ensure enquiries, opportunities and repeat business are followed through.

What we are looking for:

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be confident dealing with schools, clubs, coaches, colleagues, partners and other stakeholders.
  • Have strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines and follow-up actions.
  • Be highly IT-literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the confidence to learn and use databases, CRM-style systems, online booking platforms and other bespoke digital systems.
  • Have a strong customer-service approach and be comfortable handling enquiries, making contact with prospective and existing customers and following opportunities through.
  • Be accurate and methodical, particularly when dealing with programme information, bookings, records, data and reporting.
  • Be able to work independently and use their own initiative, while also working effectively as part of a small team.
  • Be willing and able to travel throughout Cumbria as required in order to undertake the duties of the role.
  • Have the right to work in the UK. Cumbria Cricket Limited is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.

A knowledge of cricket would be welcome but is not essential. More important is the enthusiasm for supporting a busy organisation committed to growing and developing cricket throughout Cumbria.

Why Join Cumbria Cricket?

This is an opportunity to take on a new and varied role at the heart of Cumbria Cricket, supporting programmes and activities that help grow and develop the game across the county.

You will work across different areas of the organisation, helping us improve our systems, strengthen the support we provide to colleagues and partners, and ensure that opportunities and enquiries are followed through effectively.

Working alongside a passionate and supportive team, you will have the opportunity to help shape how this new role develops and make a real contribution to the future of recreational cricket across Cumbria.

Equality, Diversity & Safeguarding

Cumbria Cricket Limited is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive and diverse organisation where everyone can participate and thrive. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and particularly encourage applications from people who are currently under-represented within cricket.
