Durban: Trainee Junior Management Assistant; Entry Level Position

Job Purpose:

Entry-level career foundational role for a recent matriculant, graduate or first-career professional, to be trained as Junior Management Assistant and long-term member of a global Logistics & Supply Chain company. This is strictly an entry-level position. Mid-level or experienced admin applicants will not be considered.

• Fully bilingual and proficient in Afrikaans and English, with good written and verbal communication skills in both languages
• High confidence, professional presentation and corporate poise suitable for boardroom environments
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally at short notice when required
• Willingness to attend approximately 2-4 weeks of intensive hands-on training in Durban before transitioning to the company’s remote working structure
• Self-disciplined, accountable and reliable, with good time management skills to work remotely
• Computer literate in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Valid driver’s license advantageous
• Willingness to commit to long-term employment and build a career with the company

• Provide assistance to the Managing Director and front-facing admin support to senior staff members
• Accompany management to meetings with existing and prospective clients, service providers and international visitors
• Act as a polished brand ambassador during client visits

Salary: R 10 000.00 gross starting salary (not negotiable)
