Serendipity Literary Agency is seeking a highly organized, editorially sharp, resourceful, and proactive Editorial & Executive Assistant to the CEO for a remote, part-time position.

The role supports the agency’s founder and CEO across literary agency business, editorial work, industry leadership, speaking and media engagements, digital presence, strategic initiatives, and day-to-day executive priorities.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Editorial & Executive Assistant will:
Hiring process consulting
- Provide editorial support on manuscripts, proposals, pitches, and other author materials.
- Manage a complex calendar, meetings, calls, travel, speaking engagements, and events.
- Monitor deadlines, commitments, and follow-ups.
- Prepare materials, conduct research, and organize information.
- Help track agency projects, submissions, priorities, and special initiatives.
- Coordinate with authors, editors, publishers, and industry partners.
- Update and maintain the agency website, including author, book , news, and other agency content.
- Support the CEO’s speaking engagements, media appearances, presentations, and professional activities.
- Assist with digital content and coordinate with social media and other external team members as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, organization, and workflow.
- Use technology tools thoughtfully to improve productivity and efficiency.

- Discreet when handling confidential information.

Candidates should have editorial experience and a strong understanding of books , writing, and the publishing process.
Experience working with manuscripts, proposals, author materials, correspondence, and other editorial projects will be relevant.
