Location: California State University San Marcos Corporation (CSUSM Corporation)

Appointment: Full-time, Regular with Benefits, Non-Exempt

Anticipated Salary: $25.00/hour-$27.00/hour ($52,000-$56,160 annual equivalent based on 40 hours/week); depending on experience (non-exempt, hourly)

Total Compensation including Benefits = $71,240 - $76,939 annualized*

* Based on health insurance coverage for employee + family

Summary

Under the general supervision of the Program Director and the Office Manager, the Senior Project Assistant will be responsible for all aspects of office operations for the Center for Training, Research, and Educational Excellence (CTREE).

Qualifications Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college courses or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least two (2) years administrative experience relative to duties required
  • Ability to work with detailed information, thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling and punctuation; thorough knowledge of office methods, procedures, and practices
  • Requires basic knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and the ability to learn other software programs specific to department
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Other Employment Requirements:
The person holding this position is considered a  mandated reporter  under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 Revised July 21, 2017 as a condition of employment.

Mandated Reporter Classification = Limited Reporter

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform receptionist duties, including answering the telephone and receiving visitors.
  • Prepare and assist with budgetary forms, including but not limited to direct pays, petty cash and requisitions.
  • Prepare and assist with all aspects of travel. Tasks include conference registration, booking flights and hotel rooms. Prepare itineraries, travel requests and claims.
  • Prepare and assist with human resources forms. This includes EAF's, timesheets, independent contractor forms and invoices.
  • Manage events, ordering food and reserving rooms.
  • Manage the LSAMP program book loan program.
  • Research, complete and input all data for the LSAMP WebAMP report.
