Temporary HEDIS - Quality Improvement - Remote

UPMC Health Plan has an exciting opportunity for a Temporary HEDIS position in the Quality Improvement department.  This is a temporary position working Monday through Friday daylight hours and will be a remote position. This temporary position is scheduled for approximately four months. In this role, you will participate in the Health Plan Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) program, including data collection and medical record abstraction.

Preference will be given to those with prior experience working within this department.

Responsibilities:

+ Review and abstraction of medical records.

+ Electronic data entry into project-specific computer software documentation system.

+ Document findings from electronic medical record system in software documentation system.

+ Record accurate and detailed records in a timely manner.

+ High School Diploma Strongly Preferred.

+ Post-secondary education is preferred.

+ HEDIS experience highly preferred.

+ RN preferred

+ One year of administrative support working experience highly preferred.

+ Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite:
Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

+ Must possess typing skills and working knowledge of word processing, electronic mail/calendar and spreadsheets.

+ Must possess the ability to learn and effectively use various software programs.
