About the OrganizationFoundation Performance Solutions is recruiting for a confidential client: a donor-advised fund sponsor that helps U.S. donors support charitable causes internationally. The organization processes about $300 million in gifts and grants a year. In a typical week that means about 1,500 individual gifts and 150 grant disbursements, across seven donor-advised fund sponsor platforms, supporting several hundred overseas charities. Volume increases during peak giving seasons.
TheOpportunity
We’re looking for a discreet, detail-oriented professional to support gift and grant operations. The role combines accurate processing and reconciliation with first-line donor and recipient due diligence, documentation and follow-up. You will be trained to support equivalency review and serve as backup for it, building depth across the organization’s gift, grant and charity-review processes.
This position reports to the Controller and work closely with finance and grants colleagues on handoffs and process improvements.
- Process and reconcile gifts from multiple channels, including donation platforms and third-party donor-advised fund (DAF) sponsors
- Verify remitter, donor/recommender and recipient information, and match each gift to the right fund
- Research unmatched or unrecommended gifts, resolve missing information through approved channels, and keep accurate records with clear follow-up
- Support first-line donor and recipient due diligence under approved procedures, including know-your-customer (KYC), anti-money-laundering (AML) and sanctions screening
- Document concerns and elevate concerns
- Before a grant is approved and released, check its documentation, recipient eligibility, restrictions and payment information against verified records
- Organize charity documents, check them for completeness, follow up on missing materials, and keep renewal records up to date
- Provide backup support as assigned once trained
- Coordinate gift and grant exceptions and keep records audit-ready
- Work with finance and grants colleagues on handoffs and process improvements
This is an operational support role. Final equivalency determinations and legal decisions sit with authorized reviewers, and payment approvals sit with authorized approvers.
Candidate RequirementsRequired
- Experience in gift processing, grantmaking, nonprofit or financial operations, or due diligence, or equivalent demonstrated ability
- Excellent accuracy, organization and discretion
- Sound judgment and the confidence to ask questions and elevate concerns
- Strong Excel skills and comfort with financial or grant-management systems
- Fluent written and spoken English and clear, professional correspondence
Preferred
- Experience with donation platforms or DAF sponsors
- Familiarity with international charity documentation
- Experience with compliance screening
Training in the organization’s procedures will be provided.

CompensationUSD $70,000–$80,000 a year. Employment arrangements depend on work location.
ConfidentialityDonor identities, gift and grant amounts, and funding relationships are strictly confidential. Candidates will learn the client’s name later in the process.
