This is a part-time hybrid role for a Mobile Car Mechanic, based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex with some work-from-home flexibility. The Mobile Car Mechanic will perform same-day diagnostics, on-the-spot repairs for cars and light trucks, and ensure customer satisfaction by explaining diagnostics and repair costs clearly. The role involves traveling to various locations within the service area to provide convenient and efficient auto repairs.
Responsibilities- Digital Vehicle Inspection via pictures for every vehicle. This is a health assessment for the vehicle, comparing it to its current mileage against zero miles, helping us look for work and bring transparency to the repair process.
- Standard Repair and Maintenance
- Picking up / dropping off customer warranty vehicles at the dealership and ensuring the repair is done effectively and correctly.
- Building jobs and finding parts via Mitchell 1 Shop Software. This arms the service advisor with the information needed to sell the job.
- Ensure the customer has utmost confidence in your skills to get the repair done. This makes the service advisor’s job of selling the work far easier, and helps avoid the delicate art of selling/closing jobs.
- Vehicle maintenance and automotive repair skills
- Experience in maintenance & repair and automotive services
- Strong focus on customer satisfaction
- ASE certification and 10+ years of professional experience
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical issues clearly
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Knowledge of a wide range of vehicles, including domestic, import, diesel, hybrid, motorcycles, ATVs, and PWCs
- Valid driver s license and clean driving record
