Build Technician Overview

As a Build Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out the assembly, servicing, maintenance, repair, testing and preparation of luxury, performance and motor sport vehicles. Working as part of a skilled technical team, you will contribute to the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of vehicle build and workshop activities, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of craftsmanship, quality and customer satisfaction.

• Technical Operations Assemble, service, maintain and repair vehicles in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions and manufacturer specifications. Carry out routine diagnostics, inspections and fault identification. Complete vehicle testing and commissioning activities as required. Ensure all work meets company, customer and manufacturer quality standards. Complete all job cards, inspection records and technical documentation accurately. Report defects, non-conformances and technical concerns promptly.
• Luxury & Motorsport Support Prepare luxury, performance and motor sport vehicles for customer delivery, events and track activities. Support vehicle preparation for testing and specialist projects. Assist with bespoke builds and vehicle modifications under technical guidance. Maintain exceptional standards of workmanship appropriate to high-value vehicles.
• Quality Assurance Carry out in-process quality inspections. Ensure completed work complies with company quality procedures. Maintain workshop equipment, specialist tools and test equipment in good working order. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
• Team Working Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production and workshop objectives. Share technical knowledge and support other team members where appropriate. Participate positively in team meetings and improvement activities. Develop personal technical knowledge through ongoing learning and training.
• Health, Safety & Compliance Comply with all Health & Safety, Environmental and quality requirements. Follow approved repair methods and workshop procedures. Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment. Report hazards, incidents and unsafe conditions immediately.

• Essential NVQ Level 3, IMI Level 3 or equivalent automotive qualification.
• Experience with in automotive, luxury, performance or specialist vehicle environments.
• Good mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Desirable Manufacturer accreditation.
• Hybrid and Electric Vehicle qualification.
• Experience working with prestige or motor sport vehicles.

Workshop-based environment with occasional customer-site or event support. Occasional weekend working to support customer events or vehicle preparation. Regular handling of high-value luxury, performance and motor sport vehicles.
