About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Diagnostic Technician to join their progressive service center in Rustenburg . This hybrid role involves leveraging advanced diagnostic tools and technical expertise to identify and resolve complex vehicle issues. While core diagnostic work will be performed on-site, certain aspects of reporting, research, and continuous professional development will be supported remotely, offering a unique blend of hands‑on work and flexible engagement.
You will play a vital role in ensuring vehicle safety and performance, contributing to a team that values precision, efficiency, and ongoing learning in a dynamic automotive environment.
- Perform in-depth diagnostics on vehicle systems using state-of-the-art equipment.
- Interpret diagnostic data, test results, and technical manuals to identify root causes of malfunctions.
- Repair and service a wide range of vehicle makes and models, ensuring adherence to manufacturer standards.
- Collaborate with Service Advisors to explain diagnostic findings and recommended repairs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all diagnostic procedures and repairs performed.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, diagnostic techniques, and repair procedures through remote training resources.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Diagnostic Technician or similar role.
- Proficiency with advanced diagnostic software and hardware tools.
- Strong understanding of internal combustion engines, electrical systems, and vehicle networks.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE) are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and methodical approach to diagnostics.
- Willingness to adapt to a hybrid work model, balancing on-site duties with remote learning and reporting.
