Senior Automotive Electrician; Remote First

• Provide remote expert diagnosis and troubleshooting for complex automotive electrical and electronic systems.
• Analyze diagnostic data, schematics, and technical service bulletins to identify root causes of failures.
• Develop detailed repair procedures and provide clear, concise instructions for on-site technicians.
• Consult with engineers and product development teams on electrical system designs and potential improvements.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation and training materials.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in automotive electrical technology, including EV and hybrid systems.
• Utilize remote diagnostic tools and software effectively to assess vehicle issues.
• Mentor and support junior technicians through remote communication channels.
• Maintain accurate records of diagnostic findings and recommended solutions.

• A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience as an Automotive Electrician or Technician, with a specialization in diagnostics.
• Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex electrical and electronic systems in modern vehicles, including CAN bus systems.
• Proficiency with industry-standard diagnostic software and hardware.
• Strong understanding of automotive schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to diagnostics.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information remotely.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain high productivity in a remote setting.
• Relevant automotive certifications (e.g., ASE) are highly desirable.
• Experience with Electric Vehicle (EV) and Hybrid Vehicle systems is a significant plus.
• Must be able to work effectively from a home office, equipped with reliable internet access, within proximity to Durban, Kwa Zulu-Natal, ZA .
