Remote Senior Sanitation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, requiring you to leverage your expertise to develop, implement, and monitor sanitation strategies without being physically present at each site. • Develop, implement, and standardize sanitation protocols and procedures across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Conduct remote audits and assessments of facility sanitation programs using data, reports, and virtual tours.
• Provide expert guidance and support to on-site sanitation teams and facility managers.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, HACCP, GMP) globally.
• Develop and deliver remote training programs for sanitation staff and relevant personnel.
• Analyze sanitation data and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Research and recommend innovative sanitation technologies and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality Assurance, Operations, Engineering) remotely to address sanitation challenges.
• Develop and manage the budget for sanitation-related expenses, including chemicals and equipment.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on sanitation program effectiveness and compliance for senior management.

• Master's degree or higher in Food Science, Microbiology, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in sanitation management within the food or pharmaceutical industry.
• In-depth knowledge of HACCP, GMP, GFSI standards (e.g., SQF, BRC), and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective sanitation programs.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent remote communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using data analysis tools, quality management systems, and virtual collaboration platforms.
• Demonstrated experience in managing sanitation projects and driving continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
• Strong understanding of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and sanitizing agents.
