Overview:Manage and implement the procurement strategy, sourcing and contracting of high value procurement categories for specific business areas while being a good steward of the firm's resources. The business areas and Sourcing Managers are organized and aligned by specific discipline and can include categories such as Human Resources, Marketing, Facilities, Travel, Legal, Finance, and Information Systems.
What You Will Do:- Lead or supervise multiple sourcing initiatives in a cross-functional team environment that will include sourcing strategy, supplier selection, market intelligence and contract execution.
- Once the sourcing strategy is complete, lead the negotiation of pricing and contract terms on behalf of Edward Jones by interacting with senior level executives and legal representatives from the supplier.
- Direct senior and middle level managers at the firm towards the supplier solution which best meets the firm's needs while reducing/eliminating firm expense and risk.
- Following contract execution, the Sourcing Manager remains involved in the event additional contracting needs arise or terms of the contract are not being met by the supplier.
- Assist with the implementation of corrective action plans where necessary and as specified in the applicable legal documents.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Requires a minimum of 5 years related work experience involving negotiation and contracts
- Strong people and project management / organizational development skills required
- Demonstrated strengths in leadership, contracts management, negotiations, conflict resolution and communications are required
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Law or Information Systems preferred.
Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday. Current INTERNAL home-based associates:
