As part of Publicis Groupe Indonesia’s Commercial, Finance & Legal ecosystem, the Commercial Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in driving commercial excellence while ensuring robust financial and contractual governance. This role works closely with Business Leads, Client Teams, Operations, Legal, and Regional Finance to support pricing, revenue performance, contract reviews, and risk mitigation—aligned with the Groupe’s Power of One model.
A legal background is essential for this role, as you will be reviewing client contracts, ensuring compliance with commercial policies, and safeguarding the business from contractual and financial exposure.
Responsibilities Commercial & Business Partnering- Serve as a trusted commercial advisor to agency and client leadership teams.
- Support pricing strategy, fee modeling, SOW structuring, pitch proposals, and commercial negotiations.
- Provide guidance on commercial risks, contract obligations, and scope clarity based on legal and financial assessment.
- Engage with clients when needed for discussions related to scope, fees, contract execution, and financial terms.
- Review and analyze client contracts, MSAs, SOWs, rate cards, amendments, and vendor agreements.
- Ensure alignment with Groupe commercial and legal standards across SEA.
- Identify commercial and legal risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and elevate when required.
- Partner closely with Regional Legal teams on contract negotiations, compliance matters, and updates to standard templates.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, audit, and contractual governance requirements.
- Lead monthly revenue forecasting, pipeline validation, and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with Client Leads, PMO, and delivery teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and billing.
- Conduct margin reviews, variance analysis, and commercial risk assessments.
- Recommend actions to optimize performance and protect commercial integrity.
- Support annual budget and quarterly reforecast cycles with local and regional FP&A.
- Maintain strong financial controls across SOWs, pricing frameworks, and commercial approvals.
- Drive compliance with Groupe policies, including contracting, procurement, and commercial audit standards.
- Enhance commercial processes, templates, and governance models for Indonesia.
- Develop commercial dashboards, KPIs, and insights that support decision‑making.
- Partner with HR, Operations, PMO, and Shared Services to optimize resource planning and cost structures.
- Influence senior stakeholders with clear financial and legal insights.
- Support capability building for commercial, finance, and client teams—especially in contracting and commercial governance.
- Foster strong collaboration across local and SEA markets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (legal background required).
- 5–8 years of experience in commercial finance, contract management, legal counsel, commercial operations, or business partnering roles.
- Strong understanding of agency economics: pricing, SOWs, rate cards, utilization, overheads, client profitability.
- Proven experience reviewing, negotiating, or advising on client contracts in a regional or matrix environment.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and reporting capabilities.
- Experience with ERP/BI tools (SAP, Maconomy, Tableau, etc.) is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to navigate commercial, financial, and legal considerations simultaneously.
