We’re on the lookout for an energetic Accounts Receivable & Trade Deduction Specialist to join our collaborative team! In this hybrid role (working 3 days a week in the office) from our home office, you’ll work directly with our Accounts Receivable and Trade Supervisor and team up with people from all corners of the organization.

You’ll play a key part in keeping our financial world running smoothly collecting past‑due receivables, validating customer deductions, and making sure everything aligns with our trade and non‑trade spending policies. Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with Sales and Operations to drive timely collections and ensure accurate review, research, and recording of customer deductions in line with company policies.
  • Post daily cash receipts and prepare cash reports reflecting current bank balances.
  • Manage and maintain customer documentation related to deductions, claims, and cash payments.
  • Provide analytical support to identify and resolve root‑cause issues behind customer deduction trends.
  • Become a subject matter expert in AR and trade systems and interfaces.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures for accounts receivable, cash application, and deduction management processes.
  • Prepare and reconcile intercompany accounts, including issuing billbacks to related parties, employees, and internal divisions.
  • Support and help manage customer credit risk.
  • Submit claims for invalid deductions through customer portals.
  • Assist with fiscal period‑end close activities, including:
    • Reconciling assigned general ledger accounts.
    • Preparing and distributing supporting schedules and reports.
  • Provide backup support within the department as needed and take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable processes and systems, including intercompany experience.
  • 2+ years in Consumer Product Goods, Wholesale, Retail, and/or Food industries strongly preferred.
  • Experience with trade management or deduction systems strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and internal controls.
  • Solid business acumen with the ability to navigate and understand various business processes and systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and Microsoft Business Central preferred.
  • Experience with a large ERP system required.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs).
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
  • A natural customer‑service mindset, confidently supporting internal and external partners with professionalism and care.
Compensation

The starting salary range for this position is between $68,000 - $75,000 per year, plus an annual bonus plan. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
