Role OverviewThe Locums Client Manager – Business Development will drive sales growth through new client acquisition while managing and expanding existing client relationships. This role blends business development, account management, and staffing coordination
, partnering closely with recruiting teams to fulfill locum and advanced practice provider needs.
This position is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys autonomy, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is eager to build a book of business within a growing brand.
Key Responsibilities Business Development & SalesProspect and acquire new healthcare facility clients requiring locum tenens and advanced practice staffing solutions.
Build and manage a consistent outbound pipeline using phone, email, social media, and referrals.
Conduct client presentations, needs assessments, and proposal development.
Negotiate bill rates, contracts, and assignment terms.
Client ManagementServe as the primary client relationship owner for assigned accounts.
Partner with recruiting teams to match qualified providers to open assignments.
Maintain communication throughout placement and assignment lifecycle.
Identify opportunities to expand service lines and increase client utilization.
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and long-term retention.
Startup Growth & Brand DevelopmentContribute ideas to help shape sales strategies, workflows, and client engagement models.
Support the growth ocompany's market presence as the brand launches publicly.
Represent the organization professionally across digital platforms and industry relationships.
QualificationsRequired: Prior experience in locum tenens staffing and/or advanced practice staffing with a primary focus on business development and client management
.
Proven ability to build and grow client relationships independently.
Demonstrated success negotiating contracts and closing staffing engagements.
Comfortable working in a startup or highly entrepreneurial sales environment.
Excellent communication, organization, and CRM management skills.
U.S.–based and eligible to work remotely.
