PurposeAnd Summary Statement
The National and Regional Accounts Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a successful sales strategy to grow the propane business for GROWMARK, Inc. within the assigned area by building lasting relationships with customers, prospects and vendors.
Essential Job Functions- Researches, analyzes and evaluates business opportunities consistent with long‑range strategic plans.
- Consults at a high level with member cooperative and retail division management to identify system‑targeted accounts.
- Gains in‑depth knowledge of targeted businesses to provide a comprehensive business strategy approach.
- Conducts sales and marketing activities, including lead generation, initial prospect contact, and development of competitive logistics and delivery solutions.
- Learns the GROWMARK and FS system go‑to‑market strategy, technology, and marketing platform for presentation at key accounts.
- Accountable for sales efforts of all propane products within the assigned territory.
- Manages and optimizes sales efforts through CRM software, reporting processes, leads, customer data, and sales activities.
- Makes formal and informal sales presentations, assembles formal proposals, and secures agreement of internal and external stakeholders.
- Understands pricing constraints in regional markets.
- Monitors delivery success and effectiveness, addressing and resolving logistical issues.
- Recommends changes or enhancements to system or member infrastructure to improve operational effectiveness and ROI.
- Develops and drives innovative sales growth strategies and activities with national and regional accounts, supporting Energy Division marketing programs, increasing market share, sustaining revenue growth, and satisfying members and customers.
- Coordinates with Member Services, keeping management teams informed and reporting new business acquisition.
- Collaborates with member/customer personnel to achieve seamless cooperation on all sales and marketing functions within the area, continuously improving customer service options.
- Serves as the primary contact for all sales, information, and operational needs of members and targeted national and regional accounts buying Energy Division products and services.
- Obtains customer information on product purchase plans, assists with supply planning, and communicates within the division.
- Maintains analysis of major competitors, provides market intelligence to GROWMARK, Inc., and recommends sales strategies to target competitive pressures.
- Maintains regular contact by phone and in‑person sales calls with customers’ purchasing personnel, identifies markets, quotes prices, and collaborates on end‑user solutions.
- Ensures customers are served professionally and sales documentation is completed accurately and timely, maximizing customer satisfaction and net operating income.
- Develops and maintains industry relationships and represents GROWMARK Energy, LLC. at industry conventions.
- Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct, Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, DOT policies, and procedures.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Normally requires a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, plus at least 9 years of related experience to demonstrate leadership within the GROWMARK System.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
