OverviewAirgas is seeking a National Account Manager to drive and deliver profitable market share gains within the national Food, Beverage, and Key Customer Market Segments. The role focuses on growing current customer relationships and developing new high‑value accounts, while partnering closely with regional and cross‑functional teams.
Responsibilities- Establish contracts with and profitably grow new and existing customers
- Grow consumption of Airgas products/services and implement pricing actions
- Develop corporate relationships with the largest and most strategic clients using internal management tools and strong contract negotiation skills
- Collaborate with Altec and BD teams to create customer value beyond product price
- Document and gain agreement on value creation from process improvements and supply optimization
- Mentor and lead regional and local sales teams
- Develop and maintain key relationships with Airgas regional SAM teams
- Achieve goals through account management, internal communication, and leveraging the Airgas portfolio of value propositions
- Other duties as assigned
- 7–9 years of professional sales experience with superior performance in full‑spectrum Airgas products/services
- Willingly travel domestically up to 35% of the time (including evenings and overnight stays)
- Bachelor’s degree (Business, Marketing, or related major) preferred
- Executive sales professional capable in corporate to production floor environments
- Track record of demonstrated performance and achievement
- Strong influencing and teamwork skills
- Experience negotiating and closing significant contracts with standard Airgas language
- Understanding of Airgas business operations, sales and asset management
- Ability to manage through organizational tension, sustain relationships and delegate tasks effectively
- Resilience in challenging customer situations
- Organizational agility to achieve results through formal and informal networks
- Effective communicator – clear speaking, writing, listening, especially in virtual settings
- CRM fluency ()
