This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our office locations (Hartford, CT, San Antonio, TX, Lake Mary, FL, Phoenix, AZ, Naperville, IL) will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.
Responsibilities- Ability to identify and drive meaningful improvement within the Claims organization.
- Opportunity to connect newsworthy macro trends to claims trends and operational performance (i.e. inflationary impacts on labor and material costs, impact of storm intensity on claim severity, etc.).
- Drive progress on the most important initiatives in property claims through engagement in the Property Value Stream. Sought after as an independent assessment for initiative health and benefit achievement.
- Exposure to segment and actuarial leaders sharing insights at monthly collaboration meetings.
- Develop presentation material regularly discussed with the executive leadership team.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in data or performance analytics preferred.
- Demonstrated strong data analytics skills and familiarity with various tools used for data exploration, analysis and visualization (e.g. Snowflake, Oracle, Excel, Tableau Desktop and Server, Thought Spot, etc.).
- Intermediate SQL skills or better strongly preferred with demonstrated ability to manage and manipulate large data sets.
- Proven ability to collaborate with business partners to deliver on actionable insights.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills and ability to build strong partnerships (essential to success for this role).
- Ability to execute on multiple projects concurrently while managing competing priorities and plans to meet business goals and objectives.
- Ability to lead without having formal authority and to work both independently as well as in a team environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing trends (operational, industry, and technological).
- Strong attention to customer needs and capability to translate into actionable solutions.
- Documented track record of creating innovative data solutions; passion for delivering outcomes.
- Understanding of the Agile framework is a plus.
- Property claim experience is a plus.
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees.
Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is: $92,800 - $139,200
