Location: Remote working with regular travel to Bridgnorth, across the UK and Europe required
Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 OTE. Dependent on experience

About the RoleAs Business Development Manager you will drive Grainger & Worrall’s growth strategy by identifying and securing new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and fostering strategic partnerships. You will collaborate with the Business Development Directors and other key stakeholders to develop long‑term client relationships and align with company objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing- Establish, implement and evolve business development strategies to achieve order intake targets.
- Monitor industry trends, market dynamics and competitor activities to identify opportunities and obstacles.
- Create and maintain a solid pipeline of potential opportunities to develop new orders, partnerships and revenue streams.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with customers, partners and industry peers.
- Guide negotiations, secure contracts and ensure successful onboarding of new customers or partners.
- Oversee and guide the wider business winning team, providing mentorship, training and performance management.
- Collaborate with delivery, engineering, finance, supplier management and other teams to ensure a coordinated approach to business winning and market penetration.
- Proven track record in business development and sales within aerospace, automotive, defence or another highly regulated industry sector, ideally with experience working for Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers.
- Track record of driving significant order book growth and closing high‑value and/or complex deals.
- Strong influence, negotiation skills and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strategic thinking and ability to solve complex problems.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and data analysis.
- High level of flexibility to travel across the UK and Europe and be on‑site in Bridgnorth, Shropshire.
